Enabling Pop-ups

In order to successfully complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA?) form, you should ensure that the pop-up blocker in your browser allows pop-ups from fafsa.ed.gov. Continue reading below to learn how to enable pop-ups from fafsa.ed.gov in certain browsers.

Google Chrome:

  • At the top, right corner of your screen, select the three dots that are stacked in a vertical line.
  • Then, select the “Settings” option.
  • Scroll down the page and select the “Advanced” option.
  • Under “Privacy and security,” select “Site Settings.”
  • Select “Pop-ups and redirects.”
  • Under “Allow,” select “Add.”
  • Type in “fafsa.ed.gov” and then select the “Add” button.
  • Proceed with completing the FAFSA application or correction.

Safari:

  • At the top left of your screen, select the “Safari” option from the menu and then choose “Preferences.”
  • Select the “Security” tab.
  • Under “Web Content,” make sure the “Block pop-up windows” option isn’t checked.
  • Proceed with completing the FAFSA application or correction.

Mozilla Firefox:

  • At the top right of your screen, select the three horizontal lines and select “Options.”
  • Select the “Privacy & Security” panel.
  • Under the “Permissions” section, uncheck the box next to “Block pop-up Windows” to enable pop-ups altogether.
  • Proceed with completing the FAFSA application or correction.
